Abstract

ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) as a regional organization consisting of ten member countries, faces a variety of complex legal issues in line with the development of globalization and changing political, social, and economic dynamics. Recent issues such as tensions in the South China Sea, democratic crises in several member states, and challenges to human rights have become the main highlights in relations between ASEAN countries. This article aims to analyze legal developments related to current issues in ASEAN, focusing on legal diplomacy, cooperation between countries, and dispute resolution mechanisms that exist within the ASEAN legal framework.
